Formula
Distance = Speed × TimeSpeed = Distance ÷ TimeTime = Distance ÷ Speed
- Units must agree: km with hours gives km/h, metres with seconds gives m/s.
Cover the quantity you want in the triangle D / (S × T) and do what's left.

Distance
150 km
Speed in km/h: 60 km/h
Speed in m/s: 16.6667 m/s
Speed in mph: 37.2823 mph
How it works
A car travelling at 60 km/h for 2.5 hours covers 60 × 2.5 = 150 km. To find the travel time over 150 km at 60 km/h, divide: 150 ÷ 60 = 2.5 hours, shown as 2:30:00.
The speed units you pick set the units of the answer; the tool also shows the speed in km/h, m/s and mph using the exact conversion factors from the Speed Converter. For average speed over a trip with several legs, add the distances and add the times, then divide — don't average the speeds. Assumptions and limits
- Speed is assumed constant over the whole time.
