How to use it
Add a PDF and the tool shows how many pages it has. Then choose what to do: extract chosen pages into a single new PDF, split the document into separate files by page ranges, save every page as its own PDF, cut the document into parts of a fixed number of pages, or remove chosen pages and keep the rest. Pages and ranges are typed like 1-3, 5, 8-10; a trailing dash such as 8- means page 8 through the end, and mistakes such as a page beyond the last one are explained rather than ignored.
The selected pages are copied into new documents, so your original file is never changed. When several files are created, they can be downloaded one by one or together as a ZIP, and file names include the page numbers. Like the merge tool, splitting keeps the visible content of each page but not bookmarks, fillable form fields or digital signatures, and a signed PDF will no longer show a valid signature once it has been split. Password-protected files can be opened with their password, and the outputs are not protected.
The PDF is read and written inside your browser and is never uploaded, which makes this suitable for confidential documents; very large files are limited by your device's memory. To join files instead use Merge PDF, to reduce a large PDF use the PDF Compressor, and to build a PDF from photographs use JPG to PDF Converter.

Practical examples
Pull out pages 3 to 5 of a report
- Situation
- Choose “Extract pages into one new PDF” and enter 3-5.
- What to expect
- A new 3-page PDF containing pages 3, 4 and 5 in that order. The first pages are previewed before you download.
One file per chapter
- Situation
- Choose “Split into separate files by page ranges” and enter 1-10, 11-24, 25-.
- What to expect
- Three PDFs, one per range, offered as a ZIP. File names include the page numbers, so they sort correctly.
Drop the blank back page
- Situation
- Choose “Remove pages and keep the rest” and enter the last page number.
- What to expect
- A copy of the PDF without that page. The tool refuses to remove every page and says so.
The numbers behind it
files created (every N pages) = ceil(total pages ÷ N)pages kept when removing = total pages − pages removed
- A range such as 8- means page 8 to the last page
- Each comma-separated range becomes its own file in range mode
The pages you pick are copied into new PDFs; your original file is untouched.
Honest limits
- Bookmarks, form fields and digital signatures are not preserved in the outputs.
- Outputs are not password-protected, even if the source was.
- Files above 200 MB, or more than 300 output files at once, are not supported.
